Dear Canon-McMillan School District Parents/Guardians and Staff,
As you may know by now, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court removed the masking mandate, effective December 10, 2021. On Monday, December 13, 2021, the Canon-McMillan School District will revert back to the original Health & Safety Plan, which references masks as optional for students and staff. Please note, masking on transportation will remain in place. It is not impacted by the State court decision, for it is a Federal Order.
Please be reminded, COVID cases and COVID transmission rates are high in our region and although masks are optional, we encourage everyone to continue to wear them.
Guidance and protocols are continuously under review and subject to change at any time. We ask for your patience and understanding as we all work through this together.
