Borland Manor Kicks Off Code to the Future Epic Build Showcases coding

It’s that time of year again for our elementary students to showcase what they have created with coding.  These showcases are Canon-McMillan’s Epic Builds.  Families are welcomed to their child’s building to see first-hand how students use coding in their classrooms.

Andrew Bricker - Young Author/Illustrator

Andrew Bricker photo with his book

Second Grade student Andrew Bricker loves to read and write. He is inspired by author and illustrator Dav Pilkey and his teachers at Muse Elementary School. He wanted to spread his love of reading to other students in the building by helping them have the ability to buy books to read. Andrew has written several books and sold his handwritten books at a yard sale to raise money to donate to Muse's PTO, specifically designated for their upcoming book fair and to be used for students at the book fair. He also wrote and donated one of his handwritten books to Muse's library. We applaud Andrew's efforts and generosity in wanting to help buy books for students. Thank you Andrew!

Neil Kirby - Young Artist

School Resource Officer

We are happy to have Officer Douglass working with us as a School Resource Officer. Officer Douglass is part of the Cecil Township Police Department and is stationed at Muse Elementary. Part of his job includes going into the classrooms with our guidance counselors to teach a variety of lessons to the students. He also helps with arrival and dismissal procedures at the building. You will also see him interacting with students throughout the halls during the day. We are fortunate to have him working in our school.
