Kindergartners in Mrs. Pierce's class at Muse Elementary got in the fall spirit with a lesson all about pumpkins!
They learned about the parts of a pumpkin- the stem, ribs, shell, pulp, fibrous strands, and seeds. They did a pumpkin dissection to investigate all of these parts with their own hands. They also learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, from seed to fully grown.
Students each got to take some seeds from our pumpkin home with them, so they can plant their own pumpkins in the spring!
