“Zoo in the Classroom" is a program that Mrs. Geist, AP Environmental Science, Environmental Science and Zoology teacher at Canon-McMillan High School, developed where her high school students teach second graders throughout the district about the animals in her classroom. Click here to listen to Mrs. Geist herself explain it!
Second graders from Muse Elementary got to experience it on Friday, November 11th. Several second graders from the other elementary schools have already experienced this program. Hills-Hendersonville and Borland Manor Elementary are the last two to experience this later this month, Mrs. Geist even created a virtual experience for any second graders that could not attend and posted it to YouTube.
