Kindergarten and the PTO Outreach Committee from Wylandville Elementary hosted their annual Kindness Week. According ro Wylandville Elementary Principal Mrs. Balch,
"The purpose of this week is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together."
Everyone in the Wylandville Community was invited to bring in non-perishable food items to be donated to families across the community during the upcoming holidays. Students were also encouraged to create a card/letter to be shared with a veteran or the resident of a nursing home. Kindergarten also decorated the school with Kindness posters that had encouraging messages. There were special surprises for the students who first spotted them. Part of the fun was that there were enough surprises for them to kindly share with a few friends if they got one.
