(Pictured: Saltworks Theatre Company performs "The Fearsome Foursome" at South Central Elementary.)
According to their website,
Saltworks is a non-profit, professional arts company which addresses the physical and emotional needs of children, youth, and families through the creation and performance of contemporary dramatic works.
Thanks to sponsorship from their PTA, South Central Elementary was able to experience Saltworks Theatre Company's "Fearsome Foursome" production. This play included five performers and a skit that emphasized the importance of kindness. It was an interactive play where there performers asked for help from the students. There was even enough time after their performance for students to ask the performers questions about them or the skit.
The "Fearsome Foursome" performance was about how one of the actors was put on a team to complete challenges and he had judged his teammates before knowing them. The performance emphasized how every character had their own strengths and to not judge a book by its cover.
Special thanks to Saltworks Theatre Company for a great performance and the South Central Elementary PTA for sponsoring a program with such a great message for our students! Click through the album below for more photos from this morning
