(Pictured: Owen Smith, Isaiah Lyons, and Connor Cole came in Third Place in the grades 4 & 5 division at today's History Bowl.)
Ten students from Canonsburg Middle School traveled to the Strip District to compete in the Heinz History Bowl. Students visited several exhibits where they had to complete the given challenge.
Fourth and Fifth grade students also participated in the History Bowl today at Heinz History Center. According to Mrs. Sill, their three teams competed against teams from all over Pittsburgh by completing challenges at the exhibits. Challenges included: "Pittsburgh is Special" at Special Collections (4th floor), "Writing a Letter Home" at Clash of Empires (5th floor), "Sports Time Line" at the Sports Museum (2nd floor), and finally "Who Am I?" at the Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation exhibit.
The team of Owen, Isaiah, and Connor earned third place. They received a backpack and award.
All students earned a pickle pin!
