If you saw a number of police cars outside of Borland Manor Elementary this afternoon do not be alarmed. They were there in celebration!
This is the fifth year that Borland Manor Elementary School students, faculty, and PFO have honored local law enforcement with an Annual Law Enforcement Luncheon. This is the first in-person Law Enforcement Luncheon since before COVID. During COVID, Borland Manor still made the effort to provide grab and go lunches. Students made posters and cards to give thanks to local law enforcement for all that they do to protect our schools. Officers were able to enjoy a fantastic lunch and visit with the kids throughout the afternoon. Students even got to interact with and pet k-9 Officer Ripley!
"The value that our local police community brings to our students and families and our schools is indescribable. The men and women that have taken the oath to protect and serve are truly heroes. We proudly pay thanks to them and appreciate that they are truly a part of our school community."
