Mrs. Irwin, a parent at Cecil Intermediate, came in to pick her daughter up one day in February and asked who maintained the flower bed. Secretary Mrs. Church told her that she started working on it when she got to Cecil Intermediate School last August. Mrs. Irwin then kindly suggested that the Cecil Boy Scout Troop #1369 help with the weeding.
The next time Mrs. Church saw Mrs. Irwin, Mrs. Irwin mentioned that she was going to talk to Bedner's to donate plants and that she was going to donate some as well.. Mrs. Church told her that she would donate plants too. Two days prior to the boys coming, Mrs. Irwin said that she also contacted Bell Landscaping to donate the mulch. The boys made short work of weeding, planting and mulching on a Saturday in late April. They did a fantastic job!
