Our Canon-McMillan Track and Field teams had another successful day (and night) at the Baldwin Invitational.
It was late in the evening when our girls relay (3rd) and boys 4x400 relay (5th) took the awards stand as the last event at the Baldwin Invitational on Friday. The girl's team won the team championship and the boys team finished third. Together they scored the most points of any school and won the combined team championship as well.
All three girl's relays won awards.
- The 4x100 team of Bryce Dean, Rose Kuchera, Abby Mitrik, and Bennett Pidro placed 2nd.
- The 4x400 team of Bryce Dean, Addy Yaeger, Allie West, and Elisabeth Franczyk finished 3rd.
- The 4x800 team of Julie Lukasewicz, Morgan Wood, Bailey Robbins-O'Connell, and Caitlyn Walloch finished 8th.
- Several girls won individual awards:
- Bennett Pidro set a new school record in the 100 meter dash finishing 2nd.
- She also finished 2nd in the long jump and 3rd in the 200 meter dash.
- Rose Kuchera won the long jump, triple jump, and high hurdles.
- Maggie Clair placed 2nd in the shot put.
- Elisabeth Franczyk was 3rd in the 300 hurdles and 3rd in the triple jump.
- Bryce Dean placed 6th in the 300 hurdles.
- Addy Yaeger took 7th in the 1600.
- Jade Viscardi threw to a 5th place finish in the javelin.
The boy's team had two relays win awards:
- The 4x400 team of Nick Gasparovic, Spencer Pierce, Aaron Taylor, and Isaiah Hicks placed 5th.
- The 4x800 team of Ben Votodian, Austin Lucas, Aidan McGee, and Digby Bedner finished 8th.
- Colton Dean set a new school record in the 200 meter dash while winning that event. He aslo won the long jump.
- Isaiah Hicks took 2nd in the 400.
- Louis Liberatore was 3rd in the javelin throw.
- Nick Gasparovic finished 5th in the 200.
- Tyler Armstead was 6th in the high hurdles.
