Canon-McMillan Girls Track and Field Team Finished Third in the WPIAL Team Championships

The girls Track and Field Team finished third in the WPIAL Team Championships.

The girls track and field team finished the team portion of their season by placing third in Tuesday's WPIAL team championship.
The girls defeated South Fayette 96-54 and lost to North Allegheny 63-87, and Norwin 72-78.

  • Rose Kuchera won the triple jump, long jump, and high hurdles.
  • Maggie Clair won the shot put.
  • Bennett Pidro won the 100 and placed 2nd in the 200 and long jump.
  • Jade Viscardi took 3rd in the javelin throw.
  • Olivia Joos placed 2nd in the discus throw and 6th in the shot put.
  • Bryce Dean was 2nd in the intermediate hurdles and 6th in the 100.
  • Elisabeth Franczyk finished 3rd in the intermediate hurdles and 2nd in the triple jump.
  • Addy Yaeger took 4th in the 800 and 6th in the 1600.
  • Abby Tucker placed 4th in the javelin throw.
  • In the pole vault Izzy Hagerman finished 5th and Carly Stewart 6th.
  • Leah Trecki placed 5th in the discus throw.
  • Allie West was 6th in the 400 meter run.
  • Rose, Bennett, Bryce, and Abby Mitrik teamed up to win the 4x100 meter relay.


The girls finished the season with a 9 win 3 loss season and won three invitationals including the Washington-Greene County Championship.

Many of these girls will continue to compete in the individual WPIAL championship which will be contested on May 17 at Slippery Rock University.
