Congratulations to the Girls Lacrosse team as they made HISTORY in May. The girls crushed Round 1 of the WPIAL playoffs with a Big WIN over Seneca Valley 15-6. This is the first playoff win in CM Girls Lacrosse history.
The CM girls started out a bit rough, but with 2:30 left in the first half the girls finally found their grove. They were able to get the lead of 5-3 by halftime. The CM girls came out with a vengeance in the second half to score 3 quick goals to make it 8-3. They had 7 goal scorers which is great to have almost all our attacks and middies score! The girls came out on top to win their first playoff game this season.
"These girls have been working so hard this season and our goal was to make it to at least the second round of playoffs, but now that we are here we want more for sure! Next we head to Fox Chapel to play at 6:00 on Wednesday for the second round of playoffs. " Coach Danielle Lipscak said.
