Canon-McMillan Middle School (CMMS) hosted a breakfast recognizing students who were selected as "Citizens of the Month" throughout the 2022-23 school year. Each month, every team of teachers selects one student who has shown outstanding kindness and character. They are also selected for reasons such as helping others and showing empathy, as well as being respectful, courteous, and polite.
Each student was recognized with a certificate and heard about the importance of kindness from CMMS Principal Mr. Ken Schrag and CMSD Superintendent Mr. Michael Daniels. Several other administrators and school board members were in attendance along with the 60 students being recognized.
