On Saturday, April 10th 2021 Canon-McMillan Senior High School's National Honor Society and Student Council organized a Spring Clothing Drive that benefitted Society of St. Vincent de Paul. According to their Facebook page,

"The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Pittsburgh, is a Non Profit Catholic Lay Organization helping the poor of the Pittsburgh area since 1852."

The clothing drive ran  from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this past Saturday and accepted items that could be donated included: clothes (gently worn, no holes or stains), shoes, linens, and other household items. Items not accepted included: TVs, baby items, dishes, sports and exercise equipment, medical equipment, open puzzles and games, or magazines.

Over 300 bags of clothing and boxes of household goods were donated by the end of the Clothing Drive. Congratulations to Student Coordinator Jadine Vanderaar and School Counselor Karen Rubican that worked together in organizing it. They did an extraordinary job. Also congratulations to all of the students from the Canon-McMillan Senior High School's National Honor Society and Student Council on this fantastic act of community service!
