Dear Canon-McMillan School District Parents/Guardians and Staff,
During the past week there have been twenty-three positive COVID-19 cases in the Canon-McMillan School District including:
one staff member and one student from Canonsburg Middle School,
three staff members and ten students from Canon-McMillan High School,
one staff member from Borland Manor Elementary,
one student from South Central Elementary,
two students from Muse Elementary
one staff member from Cecil Intermediate School
three students from North Strabane Intermediate School,
Please note, if a school is not listed above then it had zero cases for the week.
As per the PA Department of Health, the last day for reporting case numbers for the 2021-2022 academic year is Friday, June 10. After June 10, schools do not need to report COVID-19 case numbers to DOH during the summer months. DOH will notify schools of changes or updates to the reporting process, as necessary.
As we head into summer, we would like to remind families of the importance of practicing good health habits to keep students and our school community safe. Along with our partners at the Pennsylvania Department of Health, we are using this time to ensure all community members have a fun and safe summer break. The Department reminds everyone of the ways we can consider protecting ourselves and each other from COVID-19. They share that vaccination, masking, and testing help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure our communities are safe and healthy.
Please visit the PA Department of Health website (www.health.pa.gov) for the latest and most accurate information about COVID-19.
