Canon-McMillan High School's Karen Rubican Announced as Chair of the PACAC Secondary School Counselor Committee

The Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Rubican as Chair of the Secondary School Counselor Committee. In her role as a school counselor in Canon-McMillan School District, and an active member of the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association (PSCA), Karen brings a wealth of experience to this position.

PACAC President, Stacey Cunitz, says, “Karen is amazing. Her organizational skills, energy, and passion for the work have already made PACAC a more valuable resource for secondary school counselors across the commonwealth. We are so pleased Karen has agreed to serve the association through 2025.”

The Secondary School Counselor Committee seeks to encourage Association membership and foster professional development opportunities specifically for secondary school counselors including public, parochial, and independent school counselors, and those who counsel students to post-secondary education.

PACAC is a nonprofit association comprised of more than 1200 school counselors, college admission counselors, independent education consultants and other professionals responsible for guiding students through the important transition from high school to postsecondary options.
