NSIS 6th graders attend the lecture6th grade SCOPE students from NSIS attended the Faraday lecture hosted by the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh and the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh. This year's lecture was presented by David D'Emilio on the topic of "Stardust Musings and Memories". It focused on how all elements come from stardust and discussed the different properties of gases. The lecture included interactive components,using Kahoot! to help keep students' interest. 

 

Most 6th graders said they really enjoyed the fact that there were many explosions throughout the lecture, which taught 6th graders attending the lecturethem how various gases behave.
