Girls Volleyball Wins WPIAL Championship!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL TEAM ON THEIR WPIAL CHAMPIONSHIP WIN against (previously) undefeated NORTH ALLEGHENY.  NA stepped on the court with a 65-0 record, winning every match they’ve played since November of 2016. This didn’t stop CMVB. The girls took the game to 5 sets, playing some of the best, most intense volleyball and bringing the WPIAL one of the biggest volleyball upsets in a long time.

 Jenna Vogen finished with 17 kills, Sam Parker with 6, and Morgan Galligan with 5. Morgan Galligan has 29 assists and Lauren Reid had 6. Katie Weston finished with 26 digs, Morgan Galligan with 25, and Jenna Vogen with 18. Vicky Manda finished with 3 huge blocks and Sam Parker had 2. Jenna Vogen finished with 5 game changing aces and Morgan Galligan had 2.  The girls fought with everything they had and came out victorious. 

Their first round of States playoffs begins tomorrow at North Catholic at 6:00 p.m. against State College.
