AP Scholar Awards

AP Scholars

Forty students at Canon-McMillan High School have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on AP Exams.

At Canon-McMillan High School:

One student qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. This student is 2019 graduate Hannah Bockius.

Ten students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are 2019 graduates Darcy Adreon, Hannah Bockius, Amanda Krueger, Matthew Liberatore, Austin McColpin, Brant Purcell, Leah Quinlan, Max Szalla; and current students Atharv Bhave and Himanshu Biradar.

Eleven students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students are 2019 graduates Cameron Bunner, Hannah Chop, Allison Greenawald, Rachel Kohler, Jacob Moore and Grant Zeszutek, along with current seniors Zachary Boni, Kyle Katreeb, Rachel Ruslavage, Haden Tymoczko, and Nathan Yakupkovic.

Eighteen students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars are 2019 graduates Nicholas Blanock, Estee Carroll, Tavia Henderson-Gunn, Jason Lestander, Lily O’Roark, Priya Ray, Caitlyn Somma, Rebekah Thornbury, Joshua Turton, Titus Walker, and Jacob Womer, along with current students Katelyn Farrar, Anna Harris, Caroline McCaffrey, Angela Prezioso, Michael Sheppard, Ethan Stambaugh, and Tanner Zissis.
