Parents/Guardians,

Please allow me to clarify some items related to our last correspondence.

Distance learning is a flexible learning environment in which teachers will post assignments with due dates for each of their classes.  Students can access their classes and online assignments at any time during the day (or night). They do not have to be sitting in front of their computer and ‘attending’ each of their periods at the same time that our teachers will be working.  We are using the 2-hour delay bell schedule to let students know the specific times that their teacher will be available online for their specific questions. However, you and/or your children can email teachers with their questions at any time (or students may post their questions within their Schoology class).  Regarding our free food distribution, your children should not tell their teacher if they will be leaving to pick up a free breakfast/lunch at any one of the numerous locations throughout the district and no teacher should be asking them if they will be picking up a lunch. This information must remain confidential.
